Research Paper
The essays that we have covered thus far in class, all present strong thematic concepts on Racism, Identity, Internal/External Conflicts, Religion, Policing, just to name a few. For your Final Research Paper, you are to choose ONE of the paired readings covered in class. Based on your chosen thematic concept/topic/subject, make a firm statement or claim regarding your thematic concept. The foremost purpose of your paper, then, is to explain, defend, and ultimately prove the truth of your thesis statement.
Your research paper should include 2-3 secondary sources (Articles from an Online Database)
(Do not cite Websites, Wikipedia or Google)
Guidelines for Essay Format:
● Create a header in the upper right-hand corner that includes your last name, followed by a space with a page number; number all pages consecutively with beginning with Arabic numerals (1), one-half inch from the top and flush with the right margin.
● In the upper left-hand corner of the first page, list your name, your instructor’s name, the course, and the date (16 September 2020). Again, be sure to use double-spaced throughout your essay
● Double-space the text of your paper, and use a legible font (e.g. Times New Roman. The font size should be 12 pt.)
● Type your (4-5) page paper and share your first draft with 1-2 of your peers using the share feature in Google docs
