Part 1: Written lesson plan:

Select an activity that occurs in the natural environment that is appropriate for teaching a 6 year old learner with ASD (see profile listed in the lesson plan). This may be a toy or play set type activity, a sensory activity or a fun social-interactive activity.

Using the template below:

· Describe what the activity is and provide a brief (1-2 sentence) rationale for why you chose it for this learner.

· Under the activity heading describe how the activity will be organized or set-up, including when and where it will take place, the duration of the activity and a list of the required materials.

· For each of the verbal operant listed, record 4 different incidental teaching targets. Note: For ideas on targets to select for each of the operants outlined, refer to the ABLLS-R. Briefly describe what the instructor therapist will say and/or do to evoke the response (the antecedent), record the target response (the behaviour), and then the consequence.

For the same 5 Sds that you took data on, report on the following:

o SDs: Did the SDs match those described in the lesson plan. Comment on the verbal SD and your use of the materials presented (when relevant)

o Responses: Did the response match those in the lesson plan? If not, did you use a correction (prompting) procedure to evoke the correct response?

o Consequences: Were the consequences that you provided the same as what you outlined in the lesson plan? If not, why not?

o Functionality: After implementing the play lesson plan do you think that the targets that you selected are functional? Provide a 1-2 sentence rationale

o Modifications: What modifications would you make, if any to adapt the environment/lesson to increase learning success. Provide a 1-2 sentence rationale for why you would or would not make any modifications and what these might be.
