Your research paper will examine the elements of Literary Analysis. Specifically, you will explore the different critical approaches to literature. You will begin with the information in the back of your book, a copy of which is available at the library. You will the expand your research to include the history of the critical approach, prominent figures in the critical approach, reasons for this approach, and any criticism of the approach.
You will begin by selecting a criticism in the back of the book starting on page 1397. You will read about the criticism and write out any questions you have about it. Then you will begin research in the library data bases for answers to those questions. Finally you will apply that criticism to a piece of literature from the book.
You will create a research paper that is 4-5 pages long, and uses 4 sources besides the two in the book for a minimum total of 6 sources (two from the book, one of which is the description of the criticism, the other is the creative work and 4 outside sources). You must have proper documentations, citation and a work cited page.,
