3. Critical assessment: Have you stated how the theory makes sense based on your deep reading of your theory? Have you related how the theory could go even further, particularly in light of your data or datum(case study). You might even pose a question, or two. Your critical assessment means that you are taking ownership of the theory, as you see theory most appropriately applied to your subject. 4. Case study (datum), or data: Did you clearly state the facts of your case study or data? Are you able to relate the story of your offender(s) and offense(s)? You should do so in terms of the theory that you have explicated. You should relate how datum/data fit the theory. 5. Discussion/Conclusion: Were you able to effectively conclude your paper? You should go beyond summary, perhaps relating some new information, insight, and a question or two that you would have liked to address if only you had more time.6. References: You’ll need to include in your bibliography at least six scholarly sources, as defined by peer reviewed journals and university press books. These sources should allow you to go deeper into your theory of choice. They should be independent of the required readings, although you might draw on our reader to identify scholarly sources.A few specifics: No more than 7single spaced pages—could be as short as 5pages (one inch margins, Times New Roman font size of 11 or 12 points).Page length does not include references/bibliography. Total points for paper, proposal and presentation: 30 points. Your paper must be relatively free of typos and grammatical mistakes—nor more than two per page. Obviously a poorly written paper will not be evaluated as highly as a well-written paper.
