This assignment is designed to help you achieve SLO Four: Learning How to Learn. This learning outcome addresses the “Learning How to Learn” aspect of the Significant Learning Taxonomy, which involves learning about the process of learning as well as learning how to become a better, more self-directed learner, which enables learners to continue learning and do so with greater effectiveness. To help you achieve this outcome, I am inviting you to monitor your own learning in a a “Travel Journal” in which you reflect upon, evaluate, and describe your learning related to each of the 13 module topics. In this specific assignment, you will be reflecting on your learning for the chapters in Part One. This assignment also helps you demonstrate your achievement of the other three SLOs.

As you reflect, you might consider responding to any one or more of the following prompts:

What did you already know about this topic before you started the module?
Now that you have completed the module, was there anything that you learned that you found particularly interesting or surprising?
Was there any information that helped you to understand more of your own situation, or that of others?
Was there a particular song on the playlist that you really enjoyed? or that reminded you of something else?
Are there areas related to the module that you want to learn more about? or clarify?
This journal is primarily for you – so use this opportunity to connect what you learned in the video, reading, lab, or discussion that was most relevant to you.

Write a thoughtful, substantive paragraph that is a minimum of 75 words:
Module 1: Identify a song or piece of music that is from your past and that you believe you will always remember. Then share its title/artist(s) with a brief description of why it made sense and has meaning for you. (Best part by HER)

Module 2: Listen to the piece you chose as being meaningful to you in Module 1, and now choose at least three structural characteristics (rhythm, melody, harmony, instrumentation, texture, or form) to describe it.
