Hello!
This research report can be on really any topic to do with sociology in Canada, I thought about maybe doing effects of single parent families? Literally does not matter much to me 🙂

No need for an Appendix, the template shows each heading that is needed!
Here is a description of each heading if it helps:
Abstract- A brief synopsis or summary of the research report, usually about a paragraph in length. It provides your reader with an overview of the research.

Introduction- The introduction explains your topic or question of research, and states your hypothesis. This section is usually about a page or two in length. It should also present the secondary research (published research) you have gathered in order to give insight of what is already known about your topic.

Method- you will describe what research method you chose, and you’ll explain why you felt it was the best method to use to test your hypothesis. You will also describe how you executed your research. (can just describe the method used of whatever survey/source you used or how you would if you did)

Results- sums up all the data you personally gathered in your research. In this part of the report, you have to describe the results of your experiment. This section is usually quite short. Remember not to include any interpretations of the data (this will be covered in the discussion section); you are only stating your results. The way in which you present your results will vary depending on whether you used qualitative or quantitative data. If you have numbers resulting from a survey, you can use tables and figures to display numerical data. If you conducted interviews, you may just write certain responses that pertain to your hypothesis.

Discussion- After you have presented the results of your research, you have to interpret your data in the form of a discussion. This section answers the following questions:

Was your hypothesis proven or disproven?
Was your research method valid?
Would you change anything if you did it again?
Did the results of your experiment support or refute your hypothesis?
Is there anything that can be used for future research on this topic?
If you were to continue to study your topic, would you go in a different direction?
You might also include other suggestions for the results of your study.
