20 marks: Provides rigorous analysis and coherent conclusions, demonstrating a clear logic and thought process; and presenting clearly, concisely and compellingly within the word limit for the assignment.
Guidelines:

Word limit: be concise, use charts and figures effectively and stay within 2000 words (this is a maximum and not a target – LESS IS MORE and complete yet concise submissions will be rewarded).
The topic is potentially vast – please try and narrow down the topic to correspond with what is most relevant and we covered in the course (including during class discussions and group presentation). So, for example:
“Assess the cyclical position of the US economy” from a macro and markets perspective (e.g., using your own or official measures of the output gap).
“Critically review US monetary and fiscal policy” as end-2020 as policy may evolve during the period of your assignment. So, for example, use Fed data, Fed statements, etc available on or before end-2020. Think about how you will assess the monetary and fiscal policy stance and the appropriateness of these.
“Evaluate the risks of a financial crisis” by assessing whether a bubble(s) exist in asset markets that may lead to a crisis. Think about the framework we used to analyse bubbles and crisis and what happened in the different historical crises we analysed.
