Brazil’s Attempt to Revoke Regulations Protecting Their Tropical Mangroves
The final paper is a 10-12 page (double-spaced with 1” margins and 12-point Times New Roman font). You will be responsible for writing a research paper that applies one of the theoretical approaches that we discuss in this course to a current question in world politics that interests you. The question may be theoretical (e.g., Why can’t states stop global warming?) or policy-oriented (e.g., What should be the Trump Administration’s policy towards China?). The paper you write will provide an explanation of the issue through the lens of an IR theory you select. Depending on the question and theory you choose, the paper may also provide a prediction of how the issue will evolve and/or a recommendation for actions to be taken.
The paper must include at least ten different sources. Up to three source can be from our class readings. At least three sources must be articles from academic journals or equivalent scholarly work. At least two sources must be primary sources. The remaining sources can be any other reputable sources, including news articles, documentaries, and government websites. Neither Wikipedia nor Encyclopedia Britannica may be cited. In order to ensure that your sources are adequate.
