Build a Timeline
Instructions
For this assignment, build a timeline or mind map that highlights the conditions in the colonies that encouraged the establishment of colleges.
Be sure to include the following in your timeline or mind map:
1. Include a college or university for each of the conditions, as referenced in the introduction to this week.
2. Focus on one of the universities that opened its doors prior to the American Revolution and review its founding, its original purpose (finding the original charter may be helpful), and its curriculum during the colonial and federal periods.
3. Be sure to review the influence of its founders and the religious affiliation of the school.
Narrative Length: Include a 2-pages narrative, not including title and reference pages, explaining your timeline or mind map.
Timeline/Mind Map Length: One page for the timeline, and one page for highlighted university.
References: Minimum of three to five resources.
Your timeline/mind map should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts that are presented in the course and provide new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic.
