1. Mid-Term – Diagnostic Impression, Screening and Assessment
a. choose a fictional character from a movie or literature that has a dual diagnosis. You may have to fabricate some aspects of either the SUD or MHD to fit (mental health disorders (MHD) and substance abuse disorders (SUD) ), but in this case it is OK as it is a fictional character)
b. Review the “Using the Screen Measures” article and then choose and apply at least 2 of the assessment tools to support your diagnostic impression of this character, 1 assessment for SUD and 1 for MHDc.Give specific examples of behaviors or disclosures by the character that support each of the diagnostic criteria that you are using (e.g., if you say Garfield has a caffeine use disorder and exhibits signs of withdrawal as evidenced by severe headaches if he does not have caffeine at least every 4 hours.)
