This case analysis focuses on a social marketing company, Population Services International (PSI) and its attempts to “market” birth control products in Bangladesh. Unlike the first case profile, in which you analyzed the case-relevant consumer behavior using a specific framework (Theory of Reasoned Action), analyze this case based on your understanding of (a) the situation in the case and (b) all your knowledge of consumer behavior thus far (i.e., all the concepts and frameworks we have discussed in class).

Problem Statement Identify the key problem facing PSI.
Analysis Use your understanding of consumer behavior and the information provided in the case to analyze the problem you have identified. In doing so, consider using the problem-solving model of decision-making to structure your analysis. More specifically, think of the concepts that are most useful in helping you understand consumer behavior pertaining to this category and this organization’s products. Focus on these in your analysis.
