Contemporary public art research paper
Compose a short research paper.You may select for your paper topic any work of art (which will be around public art) produced anywhere in the world between the years 1970and 2020, provided that your paper clearly demonstrates your thesis: a provable claim that you will support through pertinent examples presented in a clear, well-reasoned fashion. Avoid biographical accounts of individual artists’ lives and list-like recitations of works of art that do not go beyond providing examples of a particular style or movement.
The object of any research paper is to make a small claim and support it with evidence; that is the single most important objective of this project. Take care not to select a topic that is too broad; if, for example, you decide to write about “gender and contemporary art,” you will probably find yourself pretty overwhelmed by the amount of information available. Start your research as early as possible and as you gather information work on winnowing your focus down to a manageable topic.

The paper must consist of between 8-10 full pages of writing, double-spaced, with a 12-point font and 1” margins. *This total does not include footnotes/endnotes and your bibliography, or any illustrations you may choose to include.*
