Drawing on insights from the readings in Unit 4 of the Triece Anthology, elaborate on the obstacles women and African Americans faced to get their voices heard during this time period and what strategies they used to argue for the application of Enlightenment ideals to their communities.
* Write 2-3 pages, double-spaced. The 2 -3 pages does NOT include a title page or a References page. The 2-3 pages should be your writing. No need for a title page. Include a References page at the end.
* Incorporate at least TWO direct quotes from the readings in Unit 4 of the Triece Anthology.
* In order to receive points for this paper, you must draw DIRECTLY from the readings. In your writing, demonstrate that you have done the reading and that you are incorporating the ideas from the readings into your paper. If the paper does not clearly draw from the readings in the Anthology, the paper will lose points.
* Each quote should come from a different reading, that is, a different article in Unit 4. Quotes should not be too long—not more than 1-2 sentences.
