Ever since I was a kid, I have always wanted to serve an underserved community because I have always seen my nanny became severely ill and was unable to receive proper medical care because she lacked medical insurance. Despite her hard work, dedication, and honesty, there is nothing much we could do without medical insurance, yet she is still unable to get that insurance to this date. I have also continued working with an underserved community I mobilized youths from my community by coming up with a strategy of raising funds. This move helps the vulnerable community members who lack medical insurance covers to get deserved healthcare services. Moreover, we sort help from the local leaders in getting more qualified health workers and improving the healthcare system so that members of my community get the desired medical assistance.
My second priority is to treat every single patient the same and provide the best patientt care to ease their pain. I have worked at the facility over the years where I have seen the pas and doctors providing the best care to their patients, as to them the patients are always first. I would want my patients to go under the best care I give them, it is very important for the families to engage in order to give the best plan of care to the patients, the care should be provided according to their perference and needs, by also respecting their values. it is very important to the patients to learn about their disease in order to modify their behavior, risks and options.
My third priority includes learning the skills, I realize the healthcare could be challenging sometimes as we face different types of patients, we must be ready to think outside of the box, we must be ready for whatever comes our way, In order to handle to the patients needs to have a full trust on you, and me to have enough knowlegde to master my skills and also create frindly envioronment so that the patient would feel comfortable for let them trust me with their procredures. This kind of work should be performed in a close collaboration of all the stakeholders who dedicated their lives to hilling patients. I am ready to employ all my knowledge, efforts, and skills to patients in order to manage their health condition and provide quality care within my responsibilities and duties.
