I have had 3 different people that cant follow that simple request causing me to have to rush a response last minute and lose my money. Just address the person directly and we are good. Each post response needs to be 100 words each. so 200 total.

Years of scientific research have shown that addiction is not a spiritual defect, a loss of character or a symptom of vulnerability, but rather a progressive brain disorder. However, it normally comes under the field of mental health. The American Society in Addiction Medicine (ASAM) describes addiction as a brain disorder whose activity is visible in all other fields. Dr. Michael Miller, former president of ASAM, who supervised the creation of a revised concept, states “Most addiction-driven habits are serious challenges and even illegal actions. Yet the disorder is about hearts, not the drugs. It’s about underlying neurology, not external behavior”. While addiction is about underlying neurology, outward activity is causing this disorder. Addiction may well be a brain disorder, but I think we need to be very careful not to turn abusers as victims. If it’s a brain disease or a bad judgment, there must be responsibility for unhealthful conduct. Economics is also seen as an analysis of money-related problems, but economists are often called to the table only when conclusions need to be monetized, as in cost-benefit analyses. Although it is true that economists have built methods to monetize disparate results, this ability is just a small part of what economists have to contribute to addiction research.
Religious views are firmly embraced by either culture or community. People equate welfare in social terms when it comes to belonging to any religious group. People prefer to see gaps when they all yearn for common ideals in a religious community. There is no anxiety or negative feeling associated with prayer and belief in one’s faith. Both positive feelings such as self-esteem, optimism, motivation, mood-stabilization, personal support, etc. They’re taken to the surface as one prays. There is a profound connection to self, just like a person prays for himself. Also a person like a schizophrenic will easily be made conscious of himself by prayer, which will otherwise be nearly unlikely through some other method of self-awareness, such as meditation, which requires a lot of comprehension and emotional skill. Thus, in the long run, prayer will act as a strong way to communicate through oneself and thus first think about oneself and allow one to become mindful of one’s disease and then take the appropriate steps to cure oneself.

After reading the materials and conducting a brief Internet search, please tell us if you believe addiction is a disease or a behavioral issue. What are the consequences of your opinion from an economic perspective? Please be sure to support your opinions based on your research.
In my own opinion, addiction is considered a brain disease. The structure, and function of the brain changes and is fundamental to the development and expression of addiction. In some studies, they were called the quintessential biobehavioral disorder, meaning it is a brain disease with embedded behavioral and social context aspects that develops from an interaction of complex biological, psychological, and socioenvironmental determinants (Leshner, 2001). Beyond its harmful consequences, it can also cause serious health problems for others. For example, drug abuse, the common effects include sleep changes and the decreased memory and cognitive abilities (brain-based skills which are needed in knowledge, information, and reasoning). And for an economic perspective, (1) it can cost the substance itself, the amount needed to achieve the desired effect rises, thus requiring a larger payout, (2) the cost of treatment, addiction may end up in rehabilitation programs that cost money, (3) burden to family members, it may cost them their bank accounts, maxed out credit cards, and in worst scenarios can cause bankruptcy and foreclosures (RehabCenter, 2019).
After conducting a brief Internet search, please tell us if you believe religion and prayer benefit health. Is there a downside to prayer if people believe it will help them? Would you ever consider not going to a doctor because you believe the power of prayer is stronger?
According to some number of studies, more than 50 percent of people believed that the effects of religion and prayers have shown positive benefits to your health especially to those who attended church and prayer meetings more than once per week (Radcliffe, 2018). And one study by JAMA International Medicine showed that women who attended mass services at least once a week, will 33 percent less likely to die within 16 years than non-churchgoing women. As a practicing Catholic, I am a firm believer in the power of prayer. In many experiences that I have had, including my “by-pass heart surgery” in 2013, the power of prayer helped me recuperate faster, safer and gave me comfort. So, in my conclusion, because of the technology that we are having now, the power of prayer should work along with the help of medical professionals.
