Domestic violence does not discriminate, it isn’t just men abusing woman, it’s a wide-spread problem. Anyone can be a victim of domestic violence, regardless of age, sexual orientation, economic status or ethnicity, but for many years, woman experiencing domestic violence are being ignored or they are being silent. Domestic violence is a deep problem, especially in New York, and causes a lot of woman to not come forward. They would rather suffer in silence then let other people become aware of the problem that they are facing.{(It is because woman feel that they don’t have the power to remove themselves from domestic violence and suffer in silence that ultimately, their children suffers in silence as well.) THESIS STATEMENT}.
