Evaluate the effectiveness of the science fiction metaphor in John Carpenter’s They Live. In your evaluation be sure that you fully understand both the metaphor he creates, as well as the message he wishes to advance with his text. Remember, this is not an evaluation of the aesthetics of the film, but a critical evaluation of the argument that John Carpenter asserts with his text.
