Final Writing Project: Autobiography
You are being asked to write an autobiography. Don’t let this make you nervous; it may well prove to be the most rewarding part of this course. By thinking about your past and then writing about some of these elements, you may become more aware of your own attitudes and be better able to understand the attitudes and behaviors of others.
While writing this paper, be assured that anything in print will be read with complete confidentiality.
Develop your paper carefully and completely. Your paper should be a minimum of 3 full pages, and a maximum of 5 pages. Your paper should be typed and double-spaced with 12-point, Times New Roman font. Please do not skip any additional lines between paragraphs. The top, bottom, and side margins should be one-inch. Be sure to include in-text citations and a reference page in APA style. Include a title or cover page (not to be considered as one of the 3 pages).
You will be graded on content as well as spelling, grammar, punctuation, presentation, format, etc.
Introduction – Background
Describe your general life history including family background, major life events, and significant relationships. Describe your personality characteristics, including strengths and weaknesses, and attempt to explain why you possess these characteristics. Please understand that this portion of the paper should be relatively brief. I know it may be difficult to explain your background in such a short paper, but you must be succinct.
3 Principles or Concepts
Select at least three principles or concepts of psychology you have learned from your textbook and/or class activities. Apply the principles as they relate to your life. A good formatting strategy for this portion of the paper is one principle or concept per paragraph (3 paragraphs total).
When selecting your principles, try to find something that is unique about yourself. Examples include: Memory, Personality, Disorders, Intelligence, Motivation, Social Influence, Development. This is only a brief list of concepts that you can choose to use.
Conclusion
Summarize your autobiography and any learning that took place while writing this paper. Also, describe future plans or characteristics about yourself that you might like to change.
You may turn in this paper any time before the due date. The last day that your paper will be accepted is July 19th by the end of the day. This assignment is mandatory! If you have any questions or are in doubt about any aspect of this assignment, please ask for assistance.

(A) Explain the psychological concept (with a reference for each)
(B) Discuss how the concept applies to your life (for better or for worse).
(C) Provide 3 references: One of the references should be your textbook( Psychology
An Exploration 4th Edition Saundra K. Ciccarelli Gulf Coast State College J. Noland White Georgia College & State University) The other two references are up to you to find. These reference materials should be scholarly, peer-reviewed journal articles or books. Remember that means they usually come out of a “Journal” that is found in the library, and they will have a long list of references at the end of them. If you are concerned about the appropriateness of your reference materials – ask me!
