Foreign Policy Anaylsis

Choose two of the attached forums (posts) to revise and develop into a brief theoretical essay that puts the posts into conversation. Think about what the main contribution is of each post—how do they relate to one another? Do they develop on a theme, critique each other, point out different aspects of the same vein of scholarship or are they shifting approaches or challenging each other’s methodology.

The aim is to develop a strong theoretical essay that uses the existing literature to make a new argument. Demonstrate that you can creatively revise your posts into a more detailed essay. The new essay does not need to be specifically answering the forum questions per se but should develop an argument based on the themes. Draw on the readings that you used for both posts to extend and develop your essay. It would be expected that you would cite from the textbook readings and the articles from both forum posts in your new essay. you are welcome to cut/paste from the two forums you choose but it is expected that the essay will be revised and improved.

Let me know which two forums you choose and I will attach pdf articles that support or you may refer to. but the text book is already attached.

Title your essay with a new title that fits and use a subtitle that indicates which forum posts you are creatively revising.

Ex: Troubling Bureaucracies and Foreign Policy (Forum #4 and #6 Revised)

Tip: A good essay question response is direct, specific and demonstrates understanding and application of the class readings. You should have a clear introductory paragraph and conclusion and use the readings to build a good argument for your essay. A good essay will draw on the readings in enough detail and utilize specific points to make a convincing argument. You should use APA style for citations such as (Hudson, 2007). No footnotes.
