Imagine you are working in Hollywood in the early 1940s at RKO. Choose for yourself a job you think you would have that would put you in a good position to observe and hear rumors about Orson Welles and the making of CITIZEN KANE. Write for one of the fan/gossip magazines what you think about the project, Welles himself, and how Hollywood might react to Welles’ work.
This is a column for a newspaper or magazine, so you won’t be citing sources within the text. However, you must provide at the end a Works Consulted list, which includes all sources you look at in preparing the assignment, which may include the textbook and/or internet sources.
