How Racism and segregation are still a recurring issue in the United States today

Here is the outline I was provided. Please use some of my information if not find a way to weave it all in. It’s research based. My problem is How racism and segregation is still a recurring issue in the US. My lens is Political. Do your best. i appreciate it. thank you.
Individual Research Question:
My teams issue is “How Racism and segregation are still a recurring issue in the United States today”. My lense is political so more specifically my research attains to government, the workplace etc. The political lense focuses on power, influence, and conflict, this lense pn the topic of dicrimintation expands of the discrmination among the workplace and political world that still divides us today.
The Problem:
Who is harmed by the problem?
All of society but especially minorities. A majority of the US population is a minority
Why is the problem so sticky: that is, why does it keep being a problem?
Shockingly enough some people still don’t find this detrimental problem as a relevant issue and have a fixed mindset. If it doesn’t apply to them or personally affect them why should they care? Or some people disgustingly believe that this is how things are meant to be and races other than All American White are lesser people and inferior. Along with that most people are simply just uneducated.
Main Claim:
Not only our country but the whole world is facing this very prominent issue. This issue is what divides us as a whole. This issue does nothing but cause pain, loss, distress, and violence. It is detrimental to our society and world as a whole to be divided by such an issue. We would all be in such a better place, and have less conflict if we could all come together and treat each other as equals. No one race or religion is better than the other. If we were all educated and dropped the supremacist ideals we would socially, economically, and politically be more successful and in a better place.
