SECTION I: SELECT AND RESEARCH AN IGO-100 points

DIRECTIONS:

Select an intergovernmental organization (IGO)-You will need to select an IGO to research. You may NOT select any of the IGOs listed below:
The United Nations
The European Union
The book, specifically chapter 6, dives heavily into these two IGOs. This exercise is to expose you to other IGOs partially. Please note any submission of any of the forbidden IGOs for this exercise will be marked zero (0) for the grade.

Research Your IGO-You will need to review and compile background information on your selected IGO. You will need to investigate reputable sources to capture information about your IGO. Your research you at a minimum identify the following:
IGO Pertinent Info (Name, Headquarters, Other Locations, Staff Size, Budget)
Purpose
History
Structure
Programs
Successes
Challenges
Research Sources: You must use and properly cite at least one (1) reputable sources from at least three (3) of the five each of the following categories:
Books
Periodicals
Reputable News Media (Print, TV, Online)
Government reports, studies, or court cases
Academic Journals, and other published research (essay, thesis, or dissertations)
WIKIPEDIA WILL NOT BE AN ACCEPTABLE SOURCE FOR THIS ASSIGNMENT.
Write Your IGO Report: This research report is brief and concise in nature. It must meet the following MINIMUM criteria:
PAGE NUMBERING: All pages, except the title page, must be numbered in numerical order.
MARGINS: All pages must have 1-inch margins at the top, bottom, left, and right.
REFERENCE PAGE STYLE:
CONTENT: With this IGO assignment, you seek to research and inform the reader of your selected IGO. As such, the content of the memo should aim to achieve the following minimum objectives concisely:

QUANTITY:
SUBMISSION: All work must be submitted via iCollege by the prescribed due date. NO EXCEPTIONS. SUBMISSION The submission must adhere to the following:
The submission must be typewritten, 1.5-spaced one to two (1-2) pages, 11-12 point font (Times New Roman, Arial, Garamond, Calibri). No excessively huge fonts will be accepted
Must include your name as registered with Georgia Perimeter College @ GSU
Submit Research in iCollege-All completed essays must be received via iCollege by Monday, October 26, 2020, at 11:59 pm EST. Anything posted in iCollege after this date will be subject to the late work acceptance and point deduction rule.

GRADING RUBRIC: Your submission will be graded using the following criteria:
