Interpersonal communication important. Improving our relationships with the people we work with and the people we live with. Improving our listening habits and skills will resolve so many issues we have with communication. It is important that we develop healthy relationships in all areas of our life. We work with people of different cultures and back grounds, it is important for us to learn to effectively communicate with them and not be offensive. We have to learn to address others is a way that everyone is comfortable. Be able to educate others on how to communicate with us, express our feeling and concerns without conflict.
Self-concept affects my communication because self-concept is the way we view ourselves. I consist of our feelings and thoughts about our strengths and weaknesses, our ability and limitations and our aspirations and worldviews. Your self-concept is developed from four different sources:
