“Millions of Renewable Energy jobs” – fact or fiction?
Conduct research and collect factual information on a particular energy conservation or alternative energy topic (choice of topics listed below); Write a research report to document all your findings, your own thoughts and your logical conclusions based on these findings.
Your research must be based on widely accepted credible sources such as U.S. governmental data bases and printed publications from respectable scientists, authors, journalists and organizations, not “tabloid” reporters, extreme left or right-wing groups, social media, unverifiable blogs, wayward scientists or conspiracy theorists.
Your written report must be in your own words and not plagiarized sections from articles or websites. Any plagiarism will result in a “Zero” grade. Your report should consist of the following sections:
1) Introduction & Background
2) Table of Contents
3) A list of figures and tables
4) Description & background of your topic
5) State-of-the-art of the technology for your topic
6) Technical barriers & needed innovations
7) Potential costs and benefits
8) Your research conclusions
9) References (all quotes or references must be marked within the body of your writing)
This written report should be double-spaced with page numbers. The entire report should be about 20 pages long (not counting the cover sheet, tables, lists or references).
