Nvidia RTX 3000 Series Launch
This term paper is for an ethics class, I will be providing all documents sent by the professor including an example paper, instructions, and FAQ. The topic I have chosen is a previous real-life event that took place in September where the company Nvidia released their latest graphics cards and only a few consumers were able to purchase them. The ethics the term paper should test are the actions taken by scalpers which basically purchased all the inventory using automated bots that were so quick no one could purchase them. We need to test both sides, good and bad. For example, the unethical side is that the scalpers did not leave any inventory for consumers and they started selling these graphics cards on eBay for double the price. The ethical is that they had their reasons to do so, for example, make money, they are businessmen, they need to support their families and there are no laws in place that restrict them from using bots to make purchases. These are some examples I brainstormed about, feel free to use them if needed. Please note the term paper needs to provide ethical standards and which actions will be tested by the ethical actors (The Scalpers).
