Scenario 1:

Description of situation

Corporation ABC specializes in providing widgets to Canadian customers. For years, they have leveraged their highly skilled Sales team to acquire new customers across the country. Once a new customer has been identified, they must be setup in Corporation ABC’s systems before they can place their first order. Given the essential nature of the widgets, it is critical that the new accounts are setup within 3 business days so that the new customer may place their first order before their inventory runs too low.
The customer setup process that exists today is inefficient. The average account setup takes 10 business days and often requires several follow-ups with the customer to clarify or ask for additional information. Several departments rely on the information on the customer setup form to setup the customer’s account and so accuracy is very important.

What steps will you take to solution the above scenario?

Description of situation

You are an analyst supporting a network of pharmacists.
The pharmacists have been challenged to grow their customer base resulting in more prescriptions sold. The pharmacists are advising that the current reports they are receiving don’t provide sufficient information for them to grow their customer base. Additionally, they claim that the data is not always accurate and cannot be trusted as a measure of the customer base growth.

What steps will you take to solution the above scenario?
