Principles, Axioms & Communication Models
After reading the module “Communication: Process & Skill Set”, write a 1-1.5 page paper and address the following issues (write one (1) solid paragraph for each of the three prompts below). The goal with this assignment is to help you think more deeply about the content of this module by reflecting on your own life experiences.
Paragraph 1) Choose one concept, issue, idea or theory and give a short, but specific summary/definition. In this paragraph ONLY write about the principles/axioms of communication or one of the communication models.
Paragraph 2) Explain specifically how the idea you have chosen relates to your life, describing a specific experience (present or recent past). In this discussion, it should be easy to see how this experience is connected to the concept you’re discussing. NOTE: You don’t need to share information that might be too personal or revealing. Based on Title 9 laws, I’m required to report any instances of abuse or sexual misconduct that are shared with me, so please be aware of this policy in selecting your experience.
Paragraph 3) Explain how learning about the specific concept helped you better understand your experience and evaluate the usefulness or validity of the idea.
