ASSIGNMENT:
The argumentative essay is the most common type of writing assignment that college students will encounter throughout their academic careers. While there are different variations of the argumentative essay, the foundation is always the same: the writer is tasked with taking a stand on an issue and incorporating evidence to support the claim.
You have two options for this assignment:
OPTION ONE: Argue a position on a controversial topic. Take a stand on the topic and then provide evidence to support your position. Your goal is to prove to the reader that your opinion is correct.

You are required to quote at least two outside sources (not Wikipedia) in your essay.
You are required to write in the third person. No “I,” “Me,” “You,” or “We.”
