Write a reflection paper that addresses how you have developed as a social work practitioner (personally and professionally) throughout this year.
Please address the following areas (separated by section headings):
Discuss where you started, how you have changed over the year (what experiences helped you change), and where you are now in terms of meeting the core competencies, as described in your learning plan. Include a self-evaluation of your competence in the areas of engagement, assessment, intervention, and evaluation. In what areas have you felt the most growth? What are your areas for your further growth? (Remember, social work requires a commitment to career-long learning!) Reminder: When reflecting on social work practice, the word “client” refers to individuals, groups, families, organizations, and the community.
Identify at least three of the biggest lessons or learning points that stand out to you. (This question is intentionally broad; this can be about anything: the work, the client population, your practice, your learning style, social justice issues, impacts of policy on practice…)
