Representation of Gay People on TV

This is a research paper about Gay People on TV. The numbered document(1,2,3) is the content and direction of the previous writing. And I put the professor’s comments at the end of each document, which can be used as a reference to adjust the writing direction.

The remaining four documents are articles from class.

– Essay requirements:
For your final paper, you are asked to write either an original research-based analysis of a camp television series or conduct an oral history with somebody of a different generation about that person’s reception/production experience with camp or queer TV. You are free to choose your own topic for this paper and are enthusiastically invited to come speak to me about their paper topic and their research plan. You are especially encouraged to apply one (or more) of the analytical frameworks we have discussed in this course to one (or more) series for this assignment. In other words, you may examine a camp show through the lens of genre and/or stardom; gender and/or sexuality; race and/or ethnicity; reception and/or fan practice; industry and/or production.

– Reference requirements::

A minimum of two scholarly articles from class
A minimum of three outside scholarly sources
A minimum of four popular/trade press articles, fan fiction entries, social media forums, or other archival sources
The specific episodes of the programs you intend to analyze

The first half of this article Will focus on Dante’s Cove, which isn’t a classic gay drama, while the second half Will be compared with Queer as Folk and Will and Grace.
