This is 2 assignments of 1200 words each paper. A rough draft 1200 words and a final paper 1200 words. You will select 2 texts from the list in Folio, analyze the use of rhetoric, and determine which author/creator was the most successful in their use of rhetoric and delivery of the message. Your goal in this analysis is to compare and demonstrate how the various aspects of each text work together to achieve the writers’ (or creators’) goal. To achieve your goal, you will need to consider the rhetorical situations, the author, the audiences, and the use of rhetorical strategies and stylistic choices depicted in your chosen text. In other words, how did the author (creator) build, construct, or create their texts rhetorically. Papers turned in without a cover-letter and Works Cited will have severe penalties.
Requirements and Assignment Tips: Length: 1200-1400 words, Times New Roman 12pt, Double-spaced. You are required to turn-in a Cover-letter and a Works Cited or Reference page with the final draft. To complete the essay successfully, you will need to discuss specific and concrete elements of the piece, so you are required to use direct quotations and/or visuals from your chosen pieces.
