Game of Thrones is a popular show on HBO that invests heavily on social media marketing. This show has a very loyal fan base who binge watch every season. They then use memes, hashtags, and viral videos to engage with their audience online. Fans also share with one another their intrigue with what will happen next.
During the 2019 Super Bowl, you may have seen their integration into the Bud Light commercials.
By utilizing the big game they are able to drive traffic to their social media marketing material. In this case, videos on YouTube and hashtags for Twitter.
