Social Theory Through a Case Study
Assignment Requirements
Before you begin writing:
Watch the video below that documents a patient’s experience in arts in health. Although this is what we might call an “exceptional engagement” – in that not all arts in health encounters result in a special project like this – the video is an effective case study through which to apply the social science theories examined in this module. As you watch the video, try to see if you can identify where the theories we’ve learned about apply and how they help explain what is happening for the patient and his health experience.

Choose one social theory (Person-Centered Approach Theory & Self Advocacy Model) that demonstrates the case study engagement.
Discuss this theory and example
Write a 200-300 word post that:
Name and briefly describe or outline the social theory from Week 6 that you chose.
Then, talk about how that theory is evident in Rakeem’s case study.
Be sure to describe what part of Rakeem’s experience demonstrates the theory and why.
We must substantiate our claim with at least two valid, reliable, and relevant academic resources. The resources can be from appropriate course learning materials or from outside materials that are valid, reliable, and relevant research sources.
We will site the resources in-text and as a reference list at the bottom of your post in APA format.
