Sociological Autobiography Project
The final assignment in SOC 101 is an analysis of your life experiences through a sociological lens. We are continually influenced by society and our experiences in the social world. This project will require you to reflect on those experiences, discuss how society has influenced your life, and examine specific sociological concepts in greater detail.
To complete this project, you will be asked to choose specific topics from the class (e.g., race, ethnicity, gender, social class) and you will write an autobiographical essay or present an autobiography based on your life. This does not have to include your whole life story, rather specific moments that were influenced by society. Be specific and use examples for each sociological concept that you include in the assignment. The goal is to make connections between personal experiences and social issues.

3-5 page typed paper
5 minute video presentation (e.g., video recording, PowToon, narrated PowerPoint)
