Sport Industry Statistics Assignment
This statistics writing assignment is to Identify a consulting/industry report (not an academic article – see example on the course website under “assignments”) posted online or in a periodical that shows how one of the statistical procedures discussed in class was used in “the field”. To complete this assignment, students must provide the article/report and draft a 2-3 page synthesis of the utility of the statistics used and discuss how the sport organization used the data to inform a decision-making. The paper should discuss: (1) the purpose of the study, (2) what the study was designed to identify, (3) the results of the study, (4) the implications for sport managers, the organization, and the researchers, and (5) future research opportunities from the study.
