Statement of Informed Beliefs

To improve for the final make sure that I have answered the questions a bit more specifically. So, try focusing on what will actually do in the classroom to ensure they learn and manage accordingly. Don’t forget to have an intro and concluding for every paragraph as well. Make sure you break up writing into paragraphs and have a general introductory and concluding paragraph as well as separate paragraphs for the questions. For the culture diversity section, make sure mention specifically what you would do in terms of curriculum, etc.. to build on the life histories and experiences of students – it is not necessary to know everything about them to do this but think of some projects or assignments that would do this. For the second question, I would rework it based on the terms and how they are defined in Berns. Make sure you are using APA to cite your sources. Make sure that I have discussed for the Curriculum for all learner section, how to adjust the teaching based on interests, needs, assessments, etc. Also, for the third question how will you know their original level of learning and then if they improved.

Make note of the 15 educational terms and two theorists in bold.

APA – Requirements for this are detailed in instructions

Writing/Mechanics/Usage – Well-written, good punctuation, no spelling or grammar mistakes

Introduction and Conclusion – Good introduction and conclusion to the paper overall

Sections are synthesized, flow together well, and not repetitive

Evidence of significant editing compared to your submitted draft

Fifteen educational terms used in appropriate context and two theorists with rationale for using them are present and bolded

All questions in each section are thoroughly answered, each section has a brief intro and conclusion

Paper Requirement

Introduction/Conclusion:

The introduction clearly introduces the topic (uses key words that reflect the writing prompt)

The introduction presents a focused thesis statement

The conclusion brings the essay to a graceful close and summarizes the paper briefly

Please note: the paper as a whole should have an introduction and a conclusion. The different sections should have much briefer introductions and conclusions.

Development:

Supporting points are developed with ideas from the writer’s readings, own experience, knowledge, or observation

Supporting details and examples are used to explain 15 educational terms

The paper must include at least two theorists and rationale for using them

Make sure you bold and underline terms and references to educational terms and theorists from the textbook. The final SIB must include 15 references to educational terms and two theorists from the text. You should include 3-4 references per section.

Cultural Diversity Instruction

Discuss how you (the teacher) will acknowledge and build on the life histories and experiences of students’ ethnic backgrounds.

Discuss the difference between cultural pluralism and cultural assimilation.

Curriculum for all Learners

How will you (the teacher) adjust your planning, delivery, and assessment as necessary?

Discuss how teacher assessment informs instructional planning and delivery.

Discuss how you will ensure that each learner improves upon his or her original level of learning upon entering your classroom.
