Marketing research. Choose a product from the Inc. list of best new products. Identify three research questions the company might want to answer about their product—either now, or in the future.
You may choose the product based on what kinds of marketing-related questions occur to you as you browse the products. Think about the reasons why marketers do research—you can be creative and have fun with this. For instance, the company might be developing new versions or alternative products to expand their product portfolio, target new markets, or develop new promotional campaigns, among other things.
Now, choose one or more of these research questions and develop a research strategy. Answer the following questions:
· what kind of secondary data could the company first consult?
· at the exploratory stage, what would they need to know? What kind of primary qualitative data would they need to collect, and what research design could they use? Who would the participants be and what would the sampling procedure look like?
· Identify a more conclusive research question and design a study to collect quantitative data (survey or experiment). Only a basic level of detail is necessary—what kinds of questions would you ask, or what conditions would you want to compare and what would you want to measure? What would the sampling procedure look like?
