Mini-assignments are brief essays that will evaluate your ability to understand and apply the concepts discussed in the course. Assignment should be a minimum of two pages, double-spaced. The writing should be in proper APA format. If you are using sources for your information, references should be listed in APA format as well. You can review the rubrics in the content area. Late assignments will result in a deduction of half a grade initially, and an additional half a grade loss every three days the assignment is late. No assignments will be accepted after the end of classes. If you anticipate a problem, contact me in advance.
Select ONE of the following topics to write about:
1) Briefly describe the three sociological perspectives. Which of those perspectives do you find the most compelling? Why?
2) List and define the five elements of culture. For each element, explain how it contributes to social problems and give examples to illustrate your explanations.
