The Process of Selling a Funeral/ Using the SIPOC Model
Using statistical Thinking process. I have chosen a site used by the public. I have to observe one or more key process, and how the measurements are used to manage and improve my process. using a SIPOC diagram I have to start the process from right to left, starting with the customer, the outputs, process steps, inputs, and suppliers. from the supplier standpoint, the customer enters the funeral home, the inputs are what makes then process start, the process steps would be 1. Funeral Home receives the first call, the person is deceased. (2) Family talks to the director. (3) Funeral Goods are selected. (4) Payment is made for items selected/Receipt. (5) The body is dressed and casketed. (6) Family comes in for a first viewing. (7) family prepares for the funeral. (8) Deceased is burred. I need to figure out what are the outputs for this process using 6 items and the process of the customer, and then under the customer side how is this process done and then the customer exits the funeral home.
