Scenario 1

ACME Networks has been conducting their annual equipment inventory and have noticed that some of their servers are missing from their equipment room. Upon inspection of the room they notice that it has easy access for anyone to go in and out. This is a major concern for the organization. They are now trying to come up with a solution to stop anymore thefts.

What type of threat is this and what countermeasure could be used here to help eliminate any more thefts of ACME’s Network equipment?

Scenario 2

A new computer virus has been released in an effort to infect and possibly destroy organizational’ computer networks. What type of threat is this and what countermeasure could ACME Networks use to avoid this type of incident?

This type or threat could be considered a cyber-crime and ACME could use antivirus software as a countermeasure to protect them from this type of incident.

Scenario 3

Robert is an employee of ACME Networks and has been contacted by management that his recent request for a raise in his salary has been denied. This news has angered Robert very much as has caused him to have feelings of revenge towards ACME. ACME also has concerns that Robert might hold feelings of anger and has the potential to be a threat towards their organization but this is only suspicion so far.

What type of threat is this and what countermeasure could be used here to help reduce or eliminate any possible negative or harmful actions by Robert?
