For this assignment, select an example of child abuse and/or neglect from a reliable media outlet (typically a news story detailing an instance of abuse). Prepare a written summary of the article your selected utilizing APA format (to include a cover page, proper formatting, in-text citations, and a reference page). The summary should be no less than two pages and should address the following issues:
Select an article with enough information to conduct an analysis of the allegation of abuse and the system response.
Prepare a brief written summary identifying the issues of child abuse or maltreatment discussed in the article along with your reaction to the problem presented.
Relate the article to information discussed within the Chapter 1 and the Child Welfare Gateway Information on Multidisciplinary Teams when answering the following questions:
Based on what you have read this week, would this case have been addressed differently 25 -50 years ago?
Identify at least three members of the Multidisciplinary Team (“MDT”) from the case (either those specifically mentioned or those clearly involved based on the article) and explain their role in the case.
