Define what a Green New Deal his – its aims and goals

Discuss the political context surrounding the GND in the US (e.g. what politicians are supporting it)

You can focus on a case study
For example one particular GND plan proposed by a 2020 presidential candidate
You can focus on one particular component of the GND like (a) transformation of food systems (b) electrification of the grid (c) the need to leave fossil fuels in the ground (i.e. supply-side climate policies (d) the role of social movements in making a GND a political reality (e) energy poverty (f) economic inequality
