Mobile Communications have changed our lives dramatically in the past 15 years. We have progressed from being connected to households by landline telephones to being connected to individuals by wireless devices. It is much more than just a phone…often referred to as a “smart” phone, these wireless devices allow us to stay connected via social media, text messages, video calls, photo sharing, email, and yes, even phone calls. It is no surprise, then, that businesses have used these powerful devices for their benefit in reaching out to customers.

I want to begin by thanking you for the good work you have done for me through this Activity. Now, I want to turn your attention to something of great interest to me.

I am very interested in learning about some of the new mobile developments my bank can implement to allow our customers access to account information on the mobile web or through mobile apps.

Your job will be to research potential mobile app providers and give feedback on the good and bad of different partners. I would also like for you to look at the mobile offerings of the banks in your local area, as well as those “big banks” (Chase, US Bank, etc.) that serve customers nation-wide.

Once you have a good idea of the mobile app functionality offered by the competitors AND the mobile functionality offered by mobile app providers, make a recommendation on the partners you feel would best position our bank to compete in the marketplace based on mobile app functionality.
